Notre Dame hockey wins FRCC title

ASHWAUBENON (WLUK) -- The Notre Dame hockey team defeated Bay Port 3-1 Saturday night to claim the FRCC championship.

The top two teams in the state were scoreless after one period of play.

In the second period, three goals were scored within three minutes.

Notre Dame's Hunter Bill opened scoring, but Bay Port's Aidan Fahey quickly tied the game.

Notre Dame forward Sam Kappell would answer, scoring the go-ahead goal for Notre Dame to make it 2-1.
